The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) installed this Tuesday the extraordinary plenary of its Fifth Congress and the IV of the Jpsuv where they will specify strategies in the face of the threats of the United States in the Caribbean and against the Bolivarian Government.
The Defeat of U.S. Trade Dominance in 2005 Was a Great Victory: President Maduro
The secretary general of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, was in charge of inaugurating the plenary, in which he assured that the people are ready to “firmly face any circumstance in defense of national sovereignty, because there is no age that prevents the establishment of a position of dignity and love of our country.”
During his speech, the Venezuelan politician stressed that the United States has created a narrative to “justify what is not justifiable.” He also argued that there is no longer talk of the extinct and defeated Tren de Aragua or drug trafficking, but of a change of “regime” in Venezuela.
“The president said that in time, and he has agreed with him, no one talks about the Aragua Train or drug trafficking anymore, and openly what is being debated in the upper echelons of the U.S. government is regime change,” he said.
He also reflected that the pressure exerted by the empire has direct consequences for the people. “And when we say besieged, it is with the consequences that they mean for a people. We have seen many threats since the Bolivarian Revolution and Commander Chavez arrived.”
Finally, he affirmed that in the face of threats, the country is more united than ever: “Today Venezuela is rejuvenated, because today there are no ages of any kind to defend the Homeland; if they are 80, 70 or 20 years old, they enlist in defense of the Homeland, there are no ages to establish a position of dignity and love for our country.”
